Job description

The Senior Quality Manager reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and serves as a member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team. This role is responsible for leading the quality function across multi-site distribution operations and shaping the quality culture for the company. NDC partners with Manufacturers, Distributors, Providers, and GPOs to provide custom supply chain solutions across the healthcare ecosystem.

Key deliverables include:

  • Establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality management system that is ISO 9001 compliant.
  • Create and implement a quality plan to achieve the levels of quality established through organizational goals, customer expectations, related stakeholders and market competition.
  • Improve quality through the use of process tools (i.e., Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Eight Disciplines (8D) Model) and analytics.

Job requirements

  • Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to understand quality requirements.
  • Translate customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to actions and results to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by NDC.
  • Work with leaders and facilities across the enterprise to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
  • Oversee a root cause, corrective action, and preventive action system to analyze and address quality errors and customer complaints.
  • Coordinate with associates for internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Ensure a robust set of metrics are in place to manage individual and collective performance and identify where improvement initiatives are needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Degree in a STEM-related field of study or equivalent quantitative work experience is preferred.
  • 10 years of quality experience, including 2 years in a distribution environment (preferably multi-site) and 2 years in a healthcare-related business.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage change and collaborate and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to produce high quality and accurate work products.
  • Skillful in working with data to analyze root causes, implementing long term solutions, and improving operational outcomes.
  • Thorough knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 is required.
  • Possessing one or more relevant quality certifications is a plus, such as ISO Lead Auditor Training Certification, ISO Lead Implementer Training Certification, American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
  • Significant expertise in quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, Eight Disciplines (8D) Model) is required.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with hands-on proficiency with data analysis tools such as SAS JMP, Minitab, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent is required.
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
